Early Learning Programs

Lakeland Catholic Schools offer faith-based inclusive early learning programs delivered in both English and French for preschool and Kindergarten aged children.

Our programs are offered in all three of our regions, Cold Lake, Bonnyville and Waskatenau.  Preschool and Kindergarten are both offered at our Cold Lake and Bonnyville Elementary schools with programming in English and French. Waskatenau offers English Kindergarten to children in their area.

All our early learning programs are based on a Reggio-inspired philosophy:

The Reggio philosophy is based upon the following set of principles:

• Children must have some control over the direction of their learning;
• Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing;
• Children have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world that children must be allowed to explore and
• Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.
